Winter is the season to rejoice for some, but it is also the time to struggle for many. When we sit in the comfort of our homes waiting for the food we ordered, a hardworking guy out there is riding on his 2 wheeler through the chilly wind to make sure that our food is served hot.
#TumhariMehnat was an initiative by Caltex Pakistan under their Winter Bliss campaign to help and reach out to all such people out there who leave the comfort of their homes every day to bring comfort to us. Whether it’s the traffic police guy who stands tall throughout the summer heat and winter breeze; the milkman touring his way around the city or the newspaper guy who wakes up early every morning to bring freshly brewed headlines to our doorstep – we have super heroes all around us! But not all of them can afford to wear a cape, least of all a jacket to keep themselves warm.
Caltex Pakistan took a step this winter to give out a small token of appreciation to all these superheroes who rightfully deserve it and also enabled everyone to do the same.

During this campaign a winter care kit including helmet and winter jackets were sent out to various social media influencers and bloggers that helped create a positive chain reaction on the hashtag, garnering over 50 Million+ Impressions.
Through this campaign people got a chance to recognize and appreciate the efforts of all these people around us who work outdoors in the cold.
Here are some heart-warming stories on #TumhariMehnat that are truly inspirational.
Not many of us wake up for others every day, but there are people who start their day just to facilitate others. Courier guys are one of those who welcome every morning with the aim to reach those who they never knows. I am always fascinated by such personnel who are committed to deliver our belongings from one place to another. One of my cousin has recently joined a courier company as a courier personnel and his devotion towards his duty is exemplary. Whether its some hot day or a cold morning, he roams around picking & dropping courier stuff. In my opinion, no one deserves the giveaway of helmet & jacket than him to fulfill his responsibilities in a more effective way. #TumhariMehnat #StruggleIsReal #struggle #Pakistan
Meet Shahnawaz. He is a 42 year old man who is currently working as a cleaner at my workplace. He was a security guard at my hospital but he had a terrible accident last year. He made a full recovery but lost some motor function in his dominant hand. He wasn’t able to fire a gun, and therefore, he had to quit his job. He didn’t blame his stars or gave in to his disability, instead he started working as a cleaner. He doesn’t make much money from his new job, so after completing his work hours here, he work part-time as a food vendor. People like him deserve our gratitude. So following the #TumhariMehnat ko salaam trend set by Caltex Pakistan, I met him today to thank him and tell him that his services are making a difference. There are many people like him in our society. If you know someone like him, reach out to @caltexpak to appreciate them by gifting them some warmth in this cold weather.
He’s the oldest watchmen in our building. Everyone calls him “Mamoon” be it young or old. He has to walk every morning 4-5Km from his home to our building for his duty. He use to take over from night watchmen hour before I go to drop Parishay for school. During the past Week, I’ve observed him wearing only a muffler in quite cold mornings of Karachi. . . With #TumhariMehnat #CaltexPakistan has enabled me to gift him a jacket to keep himself warm. I hope this will inspire others to take care of aged people doing odd jobs around us. . . Look around yourself, find such people and share some winter warmth with them or tag @caltexpak to get in touch. #Karachi #Giveaway #GiveBack
